Dom Do Góry Nogami: The Upside-Down House In Poland
Are you looking for some exclusive and crazy travel ideas? Do you need some travel advice? If the answer is positive, then go to Poland.
Why? If you want to come across the ceiling and check if you don’t go crazy in the labyrinth at a house, you should visit the Dom do góry nogami that is the upside-down house located in Poland. The name itself is already strange and has some crazy meaning in it. So let’s make Poland our travel destination and see if our head goes round in the house, or we can resist it.
This crazy house is built in the Center for Education and Regional Promotion (CEPR) in Zakopane. The originator of the house is Daniel Czapiewski, who was the founder of CEPR. This is a wooden house, standing on its roof. It was dug on one side in the ground, which makes it look like an overturned mock-up from the distance.
For entering the house you have to use the window instead of the door. Inside the house you’ll find a toilet from the seventies, a TV-room and a dresser with crystals. This stunning funky house symbolizes Poland during its soviet times, when everything was like put on the head.
The adventure begins on the first floor, which is at the bottom of the entry. The floors in the house are somehow crooked, which makes you difficult to walk. You have to hold up the walls, the windows, the door, and even the chair hung on the ceiling in order not to tip over. When it comes to the center, the labyrinth begins to rage, turns you into the head, and everything seems to be spinning. The only normal thing in the house is the stairs leading to the top (inverted ground floor).
For this fun you have to pay only five Polish Zloty for the ticket, which is even less than two American dollars. When I am in Poland I’ll make Zakopane my travel destination for sure!
