Discover The Attractions Of London

discover the attractions of london Discover The Attractions Of LondonIn my previous post I shared my impressions of Italy. Now I want to talk about one of the most attractive countries I have recently visited–England.

Though I have read a lot about England, I was speechless when I first arrived to this country. It seemed like I was in a  fairy-tale.

Without any exaggeration I can say that the capital of England, London, is a very beautiful historical city. There is so much to see there!

One of the most interesting places in London is the British Museum, founded in the 18th century. It’s a great museum that contains prehistoric and modern works. I have been to many museums, but the British Museum attracted me most of all.

When in London, don’t miss your chance to see The London Eye. The height of this Ferris wheel is 443  feet. It’s really exciting to discover the beauty of London, observing from the largest Ferris wheel of Europe.

Another attraction that’s worth seeing is the Tower of London. The tower was erected by one of the greatest kings of England, William the Conqueror. This place carries the mysteries of the past.  When you enter the tower, you can see the inscriptions of its prisoners, left on the wall.

The next attraction I recommend you visit is the Natural History Museum. Where else can you see an exciting exhibition of dinosaur skeletons? It was so interesting to study the skeletons of huge extinct creatures that you can never see in the wild.

Have you ever visited a wax museum? Then don’t miss your opportunity to meet lifelike figures of celebrities and other famous faces at Madame Tussauds. Victoria and David Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Brad Pitt are all standing in front of you. These figures look so real that when you look at them you can’t believe they are just wax figures.

I also recommend seeing a splendid historical place, Westminster Abbey. It used to be a place of coronation and burial. Now it’s both a Gothic church and a museum where famous British figures are buried.

Finally I want to add that London impressed me very much, and if you want to visit an interesting historical country, consider England tourism!
