Dubai Motion Tower

Dubai is an amazing place, where you can stumble upon some of the strangest things in the world. The city usually attracts visitors with its abnormally large structures and catchy interiors, but the city is now going to host one more masterpiece of architecture: a moving Tower.

However strange it may sound, the building will have rotating floors and changing shape.

According to Da Vinci Towers Dubai – The Tower in Motion , it will use wind-turbines to generate electricity for itself and other similar buildings.

The Dynamic Architecture building, which will be constantly in motion changing its shape, will be able to generate electric energy for itself as well as for other buildings. Forty-eight wind turbines fitted between each rotating floors as well as the solar panels positioned on the roof of the building will produce energy from wind and the sunlight, with no risk of pollution. The total energy produced by this inbuilt “powerhouse” every year will be worth approximately seven million dollars.

As Mad Architect reports , the power of rotating the floors will be in the hands of the natives.

The Rotating Tower will be the first ever in motion as the floors will be able to twirl continuously. The construction of Fisher’s design will begin this month and when it’s finished it will change shape in order to give to the inhabitants the possibility of choosing a new view by pressing only one button.

Who and how will the tower rotation be determined remains to be seen, but you can check it out yourselves by visiting Dubai after construction is complete.
