Boat Accident In South Africa  Boat Accident In South AfricaThree tourists have become victims of a boat accident in African Cape Town on 13th April. The boat had been sailing in shark-infested waters when a sudden wave capsized it. As National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) spokesman Craig Lambinon informed, the victims- two Americans and a Norwegian, were on a visit of South Africa’s premier shark diving destination, located about 180 km southeast of Cape Town

As the wave struck, all ten tourists and nine crew members were thrown into the ocean. Fortunately, the other shark-diving boats were quick to respond to the rescue signal, but were not able to save everyone. eTurboNews posts.

“Other shark-diving boats responded to the rescue and brought (the) … survivors on shore. We tried to resuscitate the Norwegian, unsuccessfully,” said Lambinon.

South African police have opened an inquest in order to confirm the causes of death.

Police captain Andre Traut identified the Americans as Cassey Scott Lajeunesse, 35, from Maine, and Christopher Tallman, 35, from California. Kenneth Roque, 37, from Moss in Norway was the third victim.
