One of the most prosperous countries of Southeast Asia is Thailand. The country is basically a part of mainland Asia with its neighboring countries Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam. Thailand’s economy is primarily dominated by its capital city, Bangkok.

Bangkok is also Thailand’s major tourist gateway and is known to be one of the world’s most favorable tourist hotspots. The city of Bangkok is known to be independent, vibrant and prominent .It is one of the leading cities in Southeast Asia and is the political, economic and social center of Thailand.

Bangkok’s numerous traditional landmarks and attractions associated with its night life spots have made it equally similar with exoticism. Tourism in Bangkok has flourished because of tolerated illegal activities in some of its areas known as red-light districts which attract millions of tourists each year. On the other hand, tourism is mainly due to Bangkok’s vast development in modernizing its locality. With all the progress and advancements, Bangkok still takes pride of its untouched historic landmarks.

One of Bangkok’s historic landmarks that you would definitely like to see is the Grand Palace. These complex buildings were the residence of Thailand’s Kings since the 18th century. The prominent section of the palace is the Wat Phra kaew, which contains the Emerald Buddha and is considered as Thailand’s most sacred Buddhist temple.

Another travel destination is Wat Arun Rajwararam — a Buddhist temple and a well-known landmark of Thailand. It is located along the west bank of the RiverChao Phraya. It was named after the Indian God Aruna. Wat Pho is a Buddhist temple in Phra Nakhon district located in the Rattanakosin district next to the Grand palace. Known as the temple of the Reclining Buddha, it is also the origin of the traditional Thai massage.

Although you may visit many places in Bangkok that do not possess any danger or risk, still, you are not assured of other eventualities.
