Plan Your Baby Air Travel Beforehand

baby air travel1 Plan Your Baby Air Travel BeforehandDo you have a flight coming up, and are you traveling with your little sweetheart? Then it may bother you a little if it’s your first travel with baby. Does the thought of carrying both the baby and gear, such as a car seat, stroller and diaper bag, in addition your carry on, scare you? Don’t take it to heart as the following air travel tips are meant to ease the flight with your little one to make it a pleasant experience.

First of all remember that for successful baby air travel you should be prepared beforehand. Let’s start with booking the flight tickets. If possible, schedule your flight to avoid the busiest times. You may choose to fly either in the morning or in the evening. At those times, hauling the baby and gear becomes more easy as you avoid waiting in a long line.

You may not mind having the child sit on your lap, but it would be more secure and comfortable for your baby to rest in his/her own car seat, especially when there’s turbulence. Besides, you can eat freely, without the little one grabbing everything from you.

Also consider that it’s much better for your baby air travel to fly a non stop flight whenever possible. It ensures the least number of take-offs and landings and an uninterrupted nap time for the cutie. It saves you effort and waiting time as well.

It’s very important to take care of your baby’s ears. Before take-off put some decongestant on the ears. And to release the pressure from the ear drums during the flight give him/her something to chew or a pacifier. Also try placing the car seat near the window. It helps to calm down anxious ones and besides, your baby may love to see the sky!

So, try to think of the problems that are likely to occur. Then plan ahead and make your baby air travel a fun occasion to remember.
