Malta: An Unknown Tourist Destination
Malta is a small island located in the Mediterranean. Malta comprises an archipelago of seven islands out of which only three are inhabited, but even as a member of the EU, this densely-populated island still isn’t known as much of a popular tourism destination. Yet, there is so much to see in Malta. While visiting the island one can discover not only the ancient ruins of this historical country, but also enjoy the wonderful nature and the mild climate.
Writing at 1888articles.com, one traveler was rather exited by their trip to Malta.
“Malta lies at the heart of the Mediterranean and with year-round sunshine you can be sure that your Malta vacation will give you the opportunity to enjoy some excellent Malta tours or relax and experience the unique laid back life style that this sunshine island has to offer. There is something for all to enjoy in Malta. Malta excursions are varied and if your interests include history, there is 7000 years of it. For those of you that enjoy the sea, beaches and swimming, Malta also has some of the best beaches and stunning lagoons. Malta does have an amazing choice of restaurants and general Mediterranean cuisine is common and easily found. If you particularly enjoy eating fresh fish, you are certainly spoilt for choice.”
According to Adventures of Roband Laura, the people of Malta, known as ‘Maltesers,’ are warm and helpful.
“Malta was a fascinating place to visit…it has such a long history, great culture, very friendly people, and loads of sunshine! We felt like we could approach anyone on the street and chat to them, and that they would be more than happy to strike up a conversation, which we did on several occasions…it was a great environment. There weren’t a lot of tourists around at this time of year, which made it feel more special, and although many of the towns appeared a bit rundown, they had a lot of character, which made it fun just to while away the hours wandering through the old narrow laneways and observing the locals doing their stuff.”
Lot of travelers share the same opinion and some have even called the Maltesers the ‘Happiest people in the World’. All of this proves that Malta is well worth visiting.
