Croatia is very popular with tourists from Europe. In addition to that, it is one of the perfect romantic trip destinations, if you pay a visit to the Galesnjak island in the Pašman channel. Out of the two high points on the island, the highest one is 118 feet.

The uniqueness of this island can be seen from many miles above. By using an easier way, Google Earth, you can see the perfect shape of this island. It’s one of the few natural heart-shaped objects on the Earth. Due to this peculiarity, Galesnjak is now known as the Lovers’ Island.

It is extremely popular for couples, and even the owner of the island was surprised by the number of requests in the beginning.

Except the ancient building foundations, there are no buildings on the island. It’s covered with wild trees and bushes. That’s why you should take some food and drinks with you, if you are going to stay there for a long time.

Also make sure it’s summer or, at least, early autumn when you go. Although Croatia’s weather is milder than that of the other European countries, it’s still going to be chilly. Nice weather is a must for a romantic getaway. But even if the weather seems warm, take a jacket just in case.

The time spent near the Adriatic Sea and on the heart island with your loved one is definitely going to be an unforgettable experience.
