Delhi: A Unique Combination Of Old And New
New Delhi, the capital of India, represents a unique combination of old and modern architecture, national traditions and cosmopolitan people. It is the home of Indian culture and is often called the symbol of “Unity in Diversity.”
The sights like Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Humayun’s Tomb are a part of Old Delhi while the Lotus and Akhsardham temples are typical of New Delhi’s modern architecture. The modern half of the city is well presented by the numerous shopping complexes and malls like Janpath, Palika Bazaar, Delhi Haat etc.
New Delhi also offers a great variety of budget, luxury and business hotels. Local Indian restaurants offer a great variety of national cuisine while numerous museums, art galleries, fairs and exhibitions and entertainment parks also attract foreign visitors.
