Located in Orlando, Universal Studios Florida is known as the leading movie and TV based amusement park in the world. The company, which has been entertaining its visitors for 85 years, still amazes with its groundbreaking TV programming, various blockbuster movie collections and many other highly pleasing services. There you’ll get to put on special movie glasses and get directly into your favorite movie scene where everything and everyone seems real.
The main attractions are placed in the following seven areas: Production Central, Hollywood, New York, San Francisco/Amity, World Expo, Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone and The Lagoon.
The main entrance of the park starts right from Production Central. It resembles a real film and TV production studio with impressive motion picture sound stages. This part is considered to be the intersection of Hollywood’s movie production.
Hollywood Boulevard, as the name itself implies, is the recreation of the world-famous movie-making center–Hollywood–including the duplicates of its several original monuments. So, walking along the star-covered sidewalks you’ll come across Schwab’s Drug Store and Mel’s Drive-In and get the impression of the real ones. Terminator 2: 3-D, Lucy “A Tribute and Universal Horror Make-Up Show make your walk an unforgettable one.
The name of the New York section is to the point, as it reflects the peculiarities of the world’s largest megalopolis. The recreation of the city’s old and modern architectural styles combines the alleyways of 1920′s and nowadays urban parks and magnificent residences. Such exciting rides as Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast, Shrek 4D, Revenge of the Mummy, TWISTER, Ride it Out and many, many others add to your amazement.
You’ll also get to experience the double-themed San Francisco/Amity section, where the smooth combination of a highly developed coastal city and a seasonal tourist village of Amity in New England carries you from one magic place to the other by only crossing the street. Here you’ll have a thrilling ride on a boat through a water, where a famous character of JAWS is prowling around.
World Expo can be considered the unique museum of the 20th century’s and the latest international expositions, with collections dating back to the 1960s to the present. On The Simpsons Ride and MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack rides, you’ll experience both retro and nowadays fantastic man-made phenomena.
Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone is mostly meant for kids, as there your sweethearts will find their favorite heroes, ride the most appealing rides, see spectacular shows and enjoy many other exciting entertainments for them. Some of the interesting rides are E.T. Adventure, A Day in the Park with Barney, Woody Woodpeckers Nuthouse Coaster and many others.
To have a short rest after the exciting rides, shows and playgrounds, you should check out The Lagoon. It’s a large lake in the middle of the park where various fireworks shows are available on summer days.
