Manila Ocean Park, owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., has launched its Oceanarium to showcase the rich marine life of Philippines. The new Oceanarium features 20,000 exotic and colorful fishes and can rival any marine-themed park in Middle East and offers visitors a glass-bottomed boat ride, 20-foot acrylic underwater tunnel, and an activity center where many interactive devices are at a customer’s disposal.
Our Asia That Travels reports that Manila Ocean Park hopes to give its visitors the sense of community Philippines has.
Aside from the aquatic display, park visitors are sure the enjoy the glass-bottomed boat ride, the 20-foot acrylic underwater tunnel, and the activity center where many interactive devices impart information about the oceans surrounding the Philippines and the creatures that live in them.
According to Philippine Travel Blog, the new Oceanarium is just the first phase of this project, the following phases will include a shopping mall, fashion and beauty boutiques.
The Oceanarium is only the first phase of the first-of-its-kind marine theme park. When completed, the Manila Ocean Park will feature a fusion concept, bringing together an Oceanarium, a shopping mall and a boutique hotel in one compound. This establishment will be the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region. China Oceanis Philippines, the operator of Manila Ocean Park, is a subsidiary of China Oceanis, which owns and operates many other marine-themed parks in Asia.
Manila Ocean Park is planned to be open from 10am to 6pm, Mondays through Sundays.
