Solvang remains a popular destination for many tourists from both inside and outside the United States. One reason for this is because it is home to bakeries, restaurants, merchants and museums that offer Danish hospitality in California while another reason is because it also hosts its own Motorcycle Museum.
Located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley wine country, the Solvang Motorcycle Museum is a unique collection of rare motorcycles and European race bikes.
The official website of the museum reports that the bikes the museum displays each year are being constantly changed and expanded.
The collection is quite broad with something for everyone, ranging from a 1910 FN to the present, and across all makes. The emphasis is tilted toward racing motorcycles. At the museum, you will find names such as AJS, BMW, Ducati, Gilera, Matchless, Moto Guzzi, MV, Norton, Triumph, Velocette and Vincent.
The collection includes over 75 bikes, many of which are originals with low mileage as well as being rare items in themselves. According to Motorcycle Goodies, the Solvang Motorcycle Museum is a great region for a trip.
The Vintage Motorcycle Museum in Solvang, California has a very rare and broad collection of motorcycles of over 70 bikes, from a 1904 NSU to a 1990 Honda RC30. Nowhere else will you be able to see a collection of race bikes that includes a Gilera 4, Moto Guzzi V8, MV Agusta 4, Moto Guzzi Bicylindrica and several Norton Manx – all in one room.
Take a trip to the Solvang Motorcycle Museum and have a look at its vintage and rare motorcycles from the last century!
