Traveling is great fun. At the same time it gives you so much life experience, knowledge and a cultural background. So try to visit as many places as possible while traveling.
Wherever I go I do my best and put so much effort to see all the places worth visiting of the destination. However, I give priority to the museums– music museum, photography museum, cultural museum or history museum.
I was really impressed with the Lausanne museums. Of all the interesting and very attractively designed museums in this Swiss city I want to note the Olympic Museum, as Lausanne is known to be the World’s Olympic Capital.
This charming museum is located on Lake Geneva (“Lac Leman” as the French call it). As I was approaching the museum from the lake side the Museum Park left an inconceivable impression on me. The surrounding green park was full of different creative sculptures and statues by modern artists and designers. Each figure was representing a single sport or some notion connected with the Games.
The museum building itself was also fascinating. It included some permanent and temporary exhibitions, a library and of course, the museum shop. All the sports equipment, apparel and accessories are shown here. Even a special section is dedicated to doping and its types.
If you have the chance, by all means visit this museum. It is really a competitive and even winning place worth visiting.
