American Airlines Flight Cancelled Due To Passenger Rudeness

American Airlines Flight Cancelled Due To Passenger RudenessTo most of us, air travel is an inherently stressful event. Away from the comforts of our homes and fixed routines, we are bound by the airlines’ schedules, rules and regulations. This stress is especially aggravated when we are met with delays, whether they be mechanical or weather related. The average passenger is apt to complain when delays arise. One plane-full of passengers, however, took it to the next level…and ended up dealing with the consequences.

As MYFOXNY.COM reports, an American Airlines flight from Florida to New York’s La Guardia airport was cancelled on Sunday, July 6th, due to excessively rude passengers who were verbally assaulting the crew. The passengers, provoked by delays arising from a connecting flight that their crew was on, commenced booing as the tardy crew boarded the plane.

The scene apparently worsened to the point that the crew felt uncomfortable flying with a seemingly hostile mob and refused to take off. A replacement crew was unavailable so the flight was cancelled.

The passengers were put up in a Miami hotel for the night, and didn’t get to their destination until the next evening. A hard lesson was learned by the passengers, who surely behaved themselves on the replacement flight.

According to Gothamist, however, the lesson didn’t end there as if adding insult to injury, American Airlines sent the passenger’s luggage to JFK, instead of La Guardia, by “mistake”.
