This year’s festival will be held on the village green at the corner of Garden Grove Boulevard and Euclid street for three days, from 23 to 26 May.

Fifty years ago, Garden Grove was a sleepy little farming town in rural Orange County. And even though today there are only a few acres of farm land left, the city still takes time out to remember it’s farming heritage.

Digg reports that the Garden Grove Strawberry is a three days’ festival.

The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary Memorial Day weekend in Southern California. All the farm land has been paved over in this central Orange County town but each year the community gets together and remembers it’s farming heritage with this three day festival.

According to Killer Orange!, “the Strawberry Festival over the years has evolved into a variety of Commercial booths, Arts and Crafts, Game Booths, Food Booths and major Carnival Rides which dot the landscape of the Village Green, located between Euclid Avenue and Main Street, two blocks north of Garden Grove Boulevard.”

This year’s festival is set to take place at the following hours; Friday hours are 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m to 7:30 p.m.
