Travel To 1627

travel to 1627 Travel To 1627Imagine that a time machine was finally invented, and you could buy a ticket, pack your clothes and go back to 1627. You’d be able to see how people lived then, maybe give them advice, explain what a “computer” is or just have a chat with them. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

If you’re ready to go, than I’m glad to tell you that you won’t need a time machine. The only thing you’ll need is directions to Plymouth, Massachusetts. There you’ll find the Plimouth Plantation.

There is an English village of the year 1627 in the Plantation. The residents of this village are actors. They took the roles of the pilgrims, who sailed to America on the Mayflower ship in the 17th century. These actors have the names and the life-stories of real people who once lived in the colony.

The village looks like a typical colonial village with every single detail.

While you’re there, walk around the village, get acquainted with their lifestyle and use the opportunity to talk to the locals. Ask them questions about their religious beliefs or daily life. Don’t get surprised if you get a puzzled look every now and then. These people are really good actors and might ask you to explain every single modern word you use.

You can also visit the Wampanoag Homesite, where you’ll meet Native Americans, who lived in that area before the arrival of the English. Unlike the English village, the people at the Wampanoag Homesite are real Natives.

You can also step on board the magnificent Mayflower II, a replica of the original ship. All the details are carefully designed to preserve the beauty of the original ship.

A real 17th century atmosphere is created for you to travel back in time and feel like you’re a part of their story. This is one of the most interesting and unusual trip destinations that USA tourism has to offer.
