Portugal: A Sought-After Destination
Summertime is over. A lot of people had been looking forward to autumn to organize their vacations, because there is no hustle and travel fares are cheaper than during hot seasons. In case you are wondering where to travel at this time of year, I can advise you Portugal.
Portugal is one of the most sought-after travel destinations in Europe. It has endless places of interest: heavenly beaches, medieval period magnificent churches, monasteries and abbeys, soothing countryside and so forth. The weather is smooth and pleasant here during autumn.
When in Portugal, visit Rossio, the main square of Lisbon, buy books, clothes and sip a cup of coffee in the traditional shopping area named Chiado. Also visit Jerónimos Monastery, the Hieronymites Monastery which reflects the Manueline style, Lisbon Oceanarium, Vasco da Gama Tower built over the river Tagus, Castle of São Jorge and Belém Tower which has become one of the symbols of Lisbon.
Do not miss the opportunity to pay a visit to Vila Nova de Gaia, the wine making region of Portugal in Porto. Here you can taste varieties of wine.
Do not limit your trip merely to Lisbon. Also drop in other cities of Portugal, such as Algarve, Faro, Carvoeiro, Alvor, Lagos and so forth. Of course dropping in all these cities and places of interest might be a challenge for you. However considering car rental Portugal will give you the opportunity to visit any place at any time you would feel like.
