Delta Airlines is teaming up with US Helicopter to offer a new option to its New York travelers. The prices for a one way helicopter flight start at $159.
About.com reports that until the end of May, each flight can be booked online, while at the end of May and onwards, flights can be booked directly at Delta Airlines.
Delta Airlines is offering a new option to its New York travelers – helicopter airport shuttle service to JFK. This new offering is promoted as dropping travel time Between Manhattan and JFK to only eight minutes with US Helicopter’s Airport Shuttle Service. It’s not cheap, but it is fast, so time saved may make up for the price take of helicopter flights starting at $159 one way.
According to Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine, US Helicopter will offer Delta’s passengers services, which will include: — Eight-minute flight between New York City Heliports in midtown and downtown Manhattan and JFK’s Gate 11 in Terminal 3, — SA security clearance at NYC Heliports, — Convenient check – in and boarding passes to final destinations and — Baggage check to final destination on Delta flights.
US Helicopter and Delta Air Lines have also partnered to provide eight-minute shuttle service between Manhattan and New York JFK International Airport. US Helicopter customers traveling on Delta flights complete passenger and baggage check-in and security screening at the heliport allowing customers upon arrival to proceed directly to their departure gate at JFK Terminal 3.
Jerry Murphy, the Chief Executive Officer and President of US Helicopter, is quoted commenting on the reached agreement between Delta Airlines and US Helicopter.
“US Helicopter and Delta offer a superior product by working together on program benefits that maximize our ‘Eight Minute Airport Shuttle’ service for time-sensitive global business travelers. Now, we not only offer a hassle-free airport commute, but also simple methods of booking travel as well.”
