Canada’s Trails, Tales And Tunes Festival

 

Canada is famous for its mainstream events, one of which is a small local event - the Trails, Tales, and Tunes festival in Norris Point, Newfoundland and Labrador. It’s the second year thaT the festival which will last ten days takes place and it will include nightly concerts, outdoor performances, and kitchen parties.

As the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador News Releases posts this year Clyde Jackman, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, who has also taken part in the festival, highlighted the importance of The Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival in traditional spring and summer tourism.

“The Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival is the perfect way to kick off the traditional spring and summer tourism season in the Gros Morne region,” Minister Jackman said. “It is my hope that the festival continues to develop, and that it will become an anchor event on which to further build our tourism industry on the west coast.”

Thus, the Trails, Tales, and Tunes festival is open for everyone.

The festival, which was the vision of local singer/songwriter Shirley Montague, includes indoor and outdoor events designed to appeal to all ages. Musicians and storytellers from around the province will be on hand throughout the 10-day festival.

“This festival provides an opportunity to showcase the talent and natural beauty in our province as well as all the amenities our town has to offer,” Ms. Montague said. “It is time for us all to think about growing our tourist season, and the festival is an excellent way to entice visitors.”
